The Problem

Missing Teeth Change More Than Your Smile

Every missing tooth sets off a chain reaction. The surrounding teeth shift. The jawbone deteriorates. Chewing becomes painful. And the longer you wait, the more complex — and expensive — the solution becomes.

Bone Loss

Without a tooth root stimulating the jaw, bone deteriorates rapidly. This can make future implant placement more difficult and may require bone grafting.

Teeth Shifting

Neighbouring teeth drift into the gap, changing your bite, causing TMJ pain, and creating more spaces that trap food and bacteria.

Rising Costs

A straightforward implant today could become a bone graft plus implant tomorrow. Early intervention is almost always simpler and more affordable.

The Solution

Dental Implants: The Closest Thing to Natural Teeth

A titanium root is placed in your jawbone, then topped with a custom-made crown. The result? Teeth that look, feel, and function like your own.

Eat Without Limits

Unlike dentures, implants are anchored to bone. Enjoy steak, apples, and everything you have been avoiding.

Preserves Bone

The titanium implant stimulates the jawbone, preventing the bone loss that occurs with missing teeth or dentures.

Designed to Last

We use Ankylos implants from Germany — 25+ years of proven clinical success. With care, they can serve you for life.

No Damage to Other Teeth

Unlike bridges, implants do not require grinding down healthy neighbouring teeth. Your natural teeth stay intact.

Natural Appearance

Each crown is custom-made to match your existing teeth in shape, size, and colour. Most people cannot tell the difference.

Improved Speech

Ill-fitting dentures can slip and cause mumbling. Implants are fixed in place, letting you speak clearly and confidently.

3

Implant Placement

The Ankylos titanium implant is placed. Sedation is available. Healing takes 3-6 months as the implant fuses with bone.

4

Crown Fitting

Dental Implant FAQs

How much do dental implants cost in Darwin?

Dental implant fees typically range from $4,500 to $8,500 depending on the complexity of your case. Straightforward single-tooth replacements are at the lower end, while cases requiring bone or soft tissue augmentation may be higher. We provide transparent pricing during your consultation so there are no surprises.

How long do dental implants last?

Dental implants are designed as a long-term solution. The titanium implant itself can last a lifetime with proper care. The crown attached to the implant typically lasts 10-15 years before it may need replacement. Regular check-ups and good oral hygiene are essential for longevity.

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients report that dental implant placement is more comfortable than they expected. Local anaesthesia is used during the procedure, and we also offer conscious sedation with Dr Minoo Vellani or general anaesthetic for more complex cases. Post-operative discomfort is typically manageable with standard pain medication.

Am I a candidate for dental implants?

Most adults with good general health are candidates for dental implants. You need sufficient jawbone density to support the implant, though bone grafting can address bone loss. Conditions like uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking may require additional assessment. Dr Anand will evaluate your suitability during a thorough consultation.

What brand of implants do you use?

We primarily use Ankylos implants from Germany, which have over 25 years of production history and clinical success. Ankylos implants are known for their reliability and long-term performance.

How long does the implant process take?

Initial healing after implant placement takes 7-10 days. Complete bone integration (osseointegration) typically requires 3-6 months, after which the final crown is placed. The total treatment timeline depends on whether preparatory procedures like bone grafting are needed.
